Ideas and demos of how to add clasps to your beadwork

Cost:

Duration:

2h

About this experience

Bring your UFOs (unfinished items)!  Yes, you will be bringing those bracelets and necklaces you have made that have you stumped on how to add a clasp to finish them.

This class will include discussion and demos of different finishing techniques, and you'll stitch a couple of hands on techniques even if you don't have something to bring to finish. Each project offers a different problem to solve, and we will be coming up with ideas based on what everyone brings.  Gail will have some items to demo different finishing techniques, but the more you and your fellow classmates bring in, the more we can problem solve and learn!

Supplies are not included (except for the hands on part) and you will need to bring your unfinished item(s) and matching beads and supplies.  You will need to purchase or bring needles, thread, beads and clasp as applicable.

Q: Am I an Intermediate stitcher and can I take this class?

A: For this class, you should have multiple projects and stitches completed using seed beads. Even better if you are stumped on how to add your clasp!  You should be able to thread a beading needle and feel comfortable working with seed beads as small as size 15. You will be learning concepts which you will use to do your own thing, instead of step by step directions.
