Make a statement with this project series. The sample is a 4-inch tall beaded heart with another 2" of fringe, but you can create any shape you wish. Explore the possibilities of combining beads, fabric and thread to make an embroidered statement necklace that will bring you compliments every time you wear it.
Your booking fee for this class includes a session EVERY Tuesday from September 1 through October 6th, plus a finishing session on October 27th. You will work at your own pace, so if you need to skip a session or two, you won't miss anything!
This class is suitable for all levels from beginner to advanced, as you will be working at your own pace, including some stitching at home. We will be working with tiny glass beads, so patience, good lighting, and good eyesight are the key tools you will need to succeed in this class.
You will learn how to stitch beads to fabric and how to finish your piece with edge beading and backing material, and add fringe. I will even show you an easy pattern to stitch a beaded rope to hang it from.
The design will be completely up to you, but the construction will be the same for everyone. Your class fee includes all 7 sessions, plus beading foundation, needles, thread, and ultrasuede or textured vinyl backing. You will need to either purchase or supply the beads from your stash. (or both!)
You are welcome to bring your own stash of supplies, but of course we have everything you need here available for purchase.
In our comfortable classroom we have great task lighting and magnification, but if you have specialized items of this type, bring it!
