Class: Bead Embroidered Cuff Summer Series
From beginner to advanced, set aside summer Tuesday afternoons to create a fabulous bead embroidered cuff.About this experience
Your booking fee for this class includes a session EVERY Tuesday from June 2nd through July 14th. You will work at your own pace, so if you need to skip a session or two, you won't miss anything!
Explore the possibilities of combining beads, fabric and thread to make an embroidered cuff bracelet absolutely encrusted with beads. This class is suitable for all levels from beginner to advanced, as you will be working at your own pace, including some stitching at home. We will be working with tiny glass beads, so patience, good lighting, and good eyesight are the key tools you will need to succeed in this class.
You will learn how to stitch beads to fabric and how to finish your piece with a brass cuff encased in soft ultrasuede on the inside and beadwork on the surface.
The design will be completely up to you, but the construction will be the same for everyone. You'll have a choice of widths. Your class fee includes all 7 sessions, plus beading foundation, needles, thread, one brass cuff and ultrasuede lining. You will need to either purchase or supply the beads from your stash. (or both!)
You are welcome to bring your own stash of supplies, but of course we have everything you need here available for purchase.
In our comfortable classroom we have great task lighting and magnification, but if you have specialized items of this type, bring it!
